"For me, teaching goes beyond passing on the brilliance and beauty of this traditional art form. Music offers a platform through which one may grow in self-efficacy and discipline, while serving to establish a deeper mindfulness.

Instead of relying on a fixed method, I prefer to work with my students as individuals, with the understanding that each will bring his or her unique perspective and ability. In addition to cultivating a strong technical foundation, I strive to nurture curiosity and the innate ability to teach oneself."
