Samuel J. Weiser
Freshly graduated from Washington National Opera’s prestigious Cafritz Young Artist program, Bass-baritone Samuel J. Weiser both performs and teaches around the Washington DC area. Samuel was a recent recipient of the John Moriarty award from Central City Opera, a finalist in the Luminarts vocal competition, district winner of the Metropolitan National Opera St. Louis district, recipient of the Richard Gaddes career grant from the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and winner of Monastero’s Bel Canto competition.
Mr. Weiser received his Artist Diploma from Chicago Opera Theater and Roosevelt University’s combined young artist program, Master’s degree in Operatic Performance from Roosevelt University and Bachelor’s degree in Music Education (cum laude) from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. As a performing teacher, Samuel’s goals for his students is to impart the student finding their own unique vocal sound through proper technique, allowing for an environment to build confidence and an understanding of music theory and history.
