Katie Geiger has a degree in Music Education with a concentration in Voice from the University of Delaware, as well as a Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from Temple University. During Katie’s time at the University of Delaware, she sang in the internationally award winning UD Chorale and performed and arranged with the Deltones, best known for their season three performance on NBC’s The Sing Off. While at Temple University, Katie’s love for performing grew as she sang with numerous wedding bands and professional choirs in Philadelphia, all while nurturing her passion for teaching by establishing the vocal music program at Philadelphia University. In her time at River Hill High School, Katie’s program has grown in size and has gained superior recognition at festivals and competitions along the east coast. Her love of teaching and singing inspires her to teach privately in the Baltimore area, serve on the board of the Maryland Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association, as well as sing in performances around the Baltimore City and Philadelphia areas.
